Fun With Polka Dots!

It's no secret that I love my freaking dotting tool, so I was super pumped for this manicure in particular. I got to whip out a blue that I haven't used in a while and I almost forgot how much I love it. The best thing about this mani is that it looks more intricate than it is to create. Read on for a list of colors and tools used.

My First Jelly Sandwich Manicure!

I've finally tried the magic that is the jelly sandwich. If you're unfamiliar with this technique, it's when you use a "jelly" polish as your base (Zoya Frida is a great example), add a layer of glitter in between, and finish it off with more of the jelly polish on top. It makes it so the glitter in between is sandwiched between the layers of polish and almost looks squishy. Know what I mean? I hope so! Well, it makes for an awesome-looking manicure and you should read on if you'd like to know what colors I used for this look.

Feeling Blue French Mani!

It seems I have an obsession with french manicures lately, but they're just so pretty. This time around, I went with a blue (shocker because I'm not a huge fan of blues on my nails) for color and added in some rhinestones to jazz it up a little. Read on to learn more!

Blue and Gold, a Perfect Combo!

Fun fact: I'm not the biggest fan of blue polishes. I don't know why, but blues and greens usually never do it for me. I realized I didn't want my poor blue and green polishes to just be sitting in my drawers all lonely and unused, so I needed a way to re-purpose the color. Well...gold glitter saved the day! Read on for which colors I paired together for this look.

Breast Cancer Awareness Mani!

October is here and I've seen a lot of breast cancer awareness manicures. I wanted to join in on honoring both our survivors and those we have lost. This was my first attempt at the breast cancer logo. It was a little tricky at first, but I think I did a decent job, no? The little pink rhinestone makes a great addition. Read on for a list of colors and tools I used to achieve this one.

Hello lovelies!

Welcome to my blog, Dressed In Polish! On Dressed In Polish, I plan to share my adventures in manicures, tutorials for some of my looks, occasional tips and favorite products that I use to care for my own nails, and whatever else pops into my brain.

In addition to the blog, you can connect with me in other ways: Follow me on Instagram, Like my Facebook page, Follow my Pinterest boards, Tweet me on Twitter, and Follow my Tumblr.
